三十三間堂　－　Sanjusangendo Temple

This temple features a huge hall with 1,001 figures of Kannon carved in the 12th and 13th centuries.

The grounds are beautiful and the statues are stunning.  Take advantage of the quiet main hall to pray or reflect.  Pictures are not allowed in the main hall.
