11.  もういちどおねがいします。　－　mo.u.i.chi.do o.ne.ga.i.shi.ma.su – Please say that again.

12.  えいごでおねがいします。　－　e.i.go de o.ne.ga.i.shi.ma.su. – Please say it in English. (lit. “In English please.”)

13.  かいてください。　－　ka.i.te ku.da.sa.i – Please write it.

14.  おしえてください。　－　o.shi.e.te ku.da.sa.i – Please tell me.

15.  ちょっとまってください*。　－　chyo.tto.ma.tte ku.da.sa.i – Please wait a minute.

*Note: The “っ”　(small “tsu”) acts as a phonetic shorten-er.  I like to think of it as pretending to get punched in the stomach while you say that syllable.  In essence, the time it takes you to say that syllable should be about half as long as it normally would be.

16.  はい。　－　ha.i – Yes.

17.  いいえ。　－　i.i.e – No.

18.  わかります。　－　wa.ka.ri.ma.su – I understand.

19.  わかりません。　－　wa.ka.ri.ma.se.n – I don’t understand.

20.  だいじょうぶです。　－　da.i.jyō.bu.de.su – It’s Okay; I’m fine.
